We are not constantly working with drones, although we do love this, we also take the camera and take shots from the ground. A combination of using the drone and the camera makes it a beautiful and varied video for social media and websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this assignment we have been in discussions with housing association Woonbedrijf. They said that they needed images for their Wiele housing project. An ideal opportunity for us to make recordings of the construction project. This project gave us a great opportunity to showcase our expertise in aerial and ground photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drone video production method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Just before delivery, we worked on translating the customer's wishes. Before shooting begins, it is essential to clearly understand and visualize the client's vision. We do this by communicating in the form of illustrations. We create a storyboard that shows frame by frame what we are going to record and what it will look like. The storyboard serves as a blueprint for the video and gives both the customer and us a clear picture of the final product. This method allows us to act quickly and give us a better idea of what the customer wants. This prevents the customer from being surprised by the final product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The drone video production recording<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We went to the construction site with a number of crew members, including two actors, full of enthusiasm. Upon arrival we saw a large new construction project where the 130 homes were almost completed. Soon later, the future residents would soon move in here. This created the perfect setting for us to do our recording. We received the keys to both the houses and the apartments, which gave us the opportunity to capture beautiful images of the new construction project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To capture varying images, we used both the drone and the camera. With the drone video production we were able to create beautiful and clear images from the air of the new construction project. We took shots from the ground with the camera. Thanks to the combination of these aerial and ground recordings, viewers get a complete picture of the construction project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We can plan many things in advance. There is really one important factor over which we have no influence, and that is the weather. Due to weather conditions we were unable to record everything within the planned time. In consultation with the clients, we returned at a later time to finish our recordings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Post-production<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After recording comes post-production, also called editing. This is an important phase in which the raw images are converted into a coherent final product. This is something that the customer usually thinks too easily. We believe that this is an important moment to translate customer wishes into products. This involves a lot of work, such as cutting raw images, transitions, music, (sound) effects and color corrections. The music is matched to the visual material, but consideration is also given to how the image will match the music. Because image and music are completed in one harmony, we want to prevent \u201crework\u201d. Communication is very important, which is why we make sure we keep talking to the customer throughout the process. We strive to create an end product that meets all customer expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Product<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The end goal is to create a video (i.e. product) that is both informative and visually attractive for the customer, but also the viewer. It must also be a video that effectively conveys the customer's message. Together with the customer, we look at the balance of these principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we have finished the first version, we will share it with the customer. The customer is given time to watch the video and post comments where necessary. We find this feedback essential, so that we can achieve a beautiful end product together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the adjustments have been processed by us, the video is finalized and delivered to the customer. The video is then ready to be published on Instagram or Facebook, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The combination of drones and traditional cameras add a creative touch to our video productions. This combination ensures that we can create engaging and versatile videos. We enjoy not only conducting inspections, but also producing creative videos for our clients. We are very much looking forward to using this again in future (construction) projects.
