To highlight their innovative project "Nieuw Bergen" and explain why they deserved to win the award. The result? What are the Construsoft BIM Awards?
The Construsoft BIM Awards are an annual event specifically for users of Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect. The awards showcase construction projects by users and companies that utilize tools such as Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect. This event serves as a platform to highlight innovation in the construction industry. This year's awards broke records: 67 entries and 4,034 votes from the Benelux region.
Stam + De Koning Bouw also submitted a convincing bid for the awards. Their impressive project, "Nieuw Bergen," demonstrated why they were a contender. This construction project in the heart of Eindhoven combines the smart use of technological tools like BIM (Building Information Management) with innovative solutions. The result: seamless collaboration between various parties. The jury praised it as an inspiring example of cutting-edge technology and perfectly coordinated information exchange.
How Droneprops & Media brought this story to life
To enhance Nieuw Bergen's story, we at Droneprops & Media created a comprehensive video production that captured the essence of the project. Our approach involved capturing various phases and locations to paint a complete picture of the use of BIM and the involvement of all parties.

- At Stam + De Koning Construction Construction at the office
We started at the Stam + De Koning Bouw office, where the BIM models come to life. Here, we visualized how the construction project is modeled and visualized using SketchUp. - At the Ferross factory in Oss
At Ferross, we documented the process from design to production. First in the drawing office where the steel structures are engineered, and then in the factory where these structures are manufactured. Our DJI Avata drone captured breathtaking footage of the production site. - At the construction site in Eindhoven
The construction site itself, of course, had to be included. We asked colleagues from Stam + De Koning to act as extras to realistically capture the daily activities. Our drone provided stunning overview shots of the entire project, including an impressive final shot that perfectly captures the scale and ambition of Nieuw Bergen.
For projects like 'Nieuw Bergen,' a video is much more than just a visual report—it's a powerful tool for explaining complex processes and innovations. By combining a mix of office, production, and construction site footage, we were able to showcase not only the technology but also the collaboration and vision behind the project.
